| At Newham Art School we love challenges!
Here is what we do
- Drawing, Painting, Composition and Sculpture - You will learn different styles of drawing and various brushwork techniques. We will introduce the basics of perspective and space division to our students and show them how to use it effectively.
- History of Art. This is an intensive annual course. The students will learn about the world’s most famous painters and sculptors. You will find out about different directions in painting, drawing and architecture.
- Outdoor Summer School. Painting landscapes outdoors.
- Learn how to do washes, glazing or dry brush painting with watercolours, layered painting and glazed painting in oil and discover a big variety of brushwork techniques.
- Annual Art Exhibition. Annual Art competition and the Art Exhibition. You do not have to be our student to take part in our competitions!
- Individual Art Project. If you need help with your own project or need guidance on any aspects of you work, you can join the school for two month in April and May and get the professional support from our teachers. Alternatively, if you just want to try creating something artistic and need some ideas, our team will be glad to help!
- Painting and drawing lessons for children with special needs
- Art Therapy. Art can be said to be - and can be used as - the externalized map of our interior self. Art therapy - draw from within. While an art therapy session may look like an art class on the surface, the goals and purposes are different. Art therapy asks you to explore your inner experience - your feelings, perceptions and imagination. Please email fineart@newhamartschool.co.uk if you wish to join this group or to find out more.
- Youth Training and Art Entrepreneur Schemes.
